Judge Registration 2021 National Moot Court Competition in Child Welfare & Adoption Law

Thank you for volunteering to judge the 2021 National Moot Court in Child Welfare & Adoption Law Competition.

2021 Topic: "Child Welfare Law in a Pandemic"
February 26 & 27, 2021
Columbus, Ohio

Please complete the registration form below.

Please note: you must be an attorney to judge the moot court competition.

FYLaw made the decision to conduct the 2021 competition virtually.

We did not make this decision lightly; we strongly preferred to conduct the competition in person. However, we also wanted to make a firm decision prior to release of the problem next month as a courtesy to all teams participating. Ultimately, we determined that there is too much unpredictability at this point to hold the competition in person. We want to be completely transparent in order to give teams all of the necessary information before they embark on the hard work necessary to prepare.

Volunteers will be provided with a copy of the problem, competition rules, the bench brief, sample suggested questions, and a sample score sheet in advance. There will also be an information session for volunteers 30 minutes prior to each round. Please plan your arrival time accordingly.

A competition of this size requires approximately 60 judges, so your participation is critical to our success. If you register and are unable to volunteer, please let us know as soon as possible and attempt to find a replacement.

Thank you for your support!
