NATION: “CWLA Reveals Top 5 Child Welfare Challenges and Opportunities for 2010”

During its 2010 national conference, the Child Welfare League of America (CWLA) announced its top challenges and opportunities for 2010. The list includes: passing healthcare reform, holding a White House conference on children and youth, shrinking the foster care system, allowing foster youth to age out of the system gracefully, and focusing on the disproportionate number of children of color represented in the child welfare and juvenile justice systems.
