INDIANA: “Judge blocks state cuts in foster care payments”

U.S. District Judge Sarah Evans Barker has issued a temporary injunction preventing the Indiana Department of Child Services from making cuts to subsidies provided to adoptive families, foster families, and children’s homes. Ann Houseworth, spokeswoman for the Department of Child Services, states that the agency has not concluded whether it will appeal the ruling.
