MISSOURI: In re Adoption of: C.P.G.B.
02.04.2010 | Adoption

The Court of Appeals of Missouri, Southern District affirmed the juvenile court’s judgment denying appellant biological father’s petition for review to set aside the adoption of his child that was based on arguments that his consent was not rendered in the proper form, nor did he understand the consequences of his consent. The appeals court found that the juvenile court did not err when it declined to exercise its equitable powers to set aside the adoption and, additionally, appellant failed to show that his consent to the adoption should be set aside due to excusable neglect, mistake, or fraud.
